Now accepting applications from Yorba Linda residents for the 2025-2026 School Year Volunteer Program.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Children\u2019s Services School Year Volunteer Program provides positive and fun community service opportunities to HIGH SCHOOL<\/strong> students (must be enrolled in 9th<\/sup> \u2013 12th<\/sup> grade for the 2025-2026 school year). Note: Applicants who are not enrolled in high school will not be eligible to participate nor receive credit.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a limited number of volunteer positions available.  Applicants are placed on a first come, first placed basis, and positions are granted based on the applicant\u2019s residency, experience, volunteer interview, and availability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Filling out an application does not guarantee service hours.  This application will remain on file until June 2026.  Summer volunteering requires a summer volunteer application available in May.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The application process is as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. A Yorba Linda Library Card in the student\u2019s name is required to apply for a volunteer position. <\/strong> If the student does not have a library card, we encourage you to obtain one as soon as possible by filling out the Online Library Card Application<\/a>.<\/strong> The library card can be picked up by presenting picture ID and proof of current address in the library lobby after applying for a card. Minors under 18 years of age must have a parent\/legal guardian present to issue a library card and accept financial responsibility for the account. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Yorba Linda residents may apply ONLINE beginning Monday, August 18, 2025.  Non-Yorba Linda residents may apply ONLINE beginning Saturday, August 23, 2025.<\/strong> Online applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis. Once the volunteer program becomes full, applicants are placed on a waiting list. If volunteer opportunities are available, the student will be contacted via email with the telephone number provided on the application. If the applicant is placed on a waiting list, the student will be notified via email or telephone when\/if volunteer opportunities become available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. After the volunteer has been assigned a position, more details will be sent to the student via email.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
